Most radar units have a jam detect feature, so the operator can pick on that and from there, it's a new ballgame.

Why would radar units have a jam detect feature if there isn't a jammer that works well against them in the first place? Do you mean Laser jammer detect feature?
The doppler tone changes when being jammed which i think is the jam detect feature

Some of the older ones had it, basically to detect the "brute force" jammers:

What does the radar gun look like when jammed?

How did “Radar Roy” Dominate Radar Detector Sales Online When He Never Sold A Single One?

    Spoiler: show

Sales came easily. He sold you a persona. He sold “Radar Roy.” He sold an ex-cop and expert. He sold a guy who was nice enough to cross over from being “the man.” He shared knowledge and recommendations directly with his “Perfect Customer.” His message created their “Fantasy Result” of not getting speeding tickets. And oh by the way, if you had interest in buying a radar detector, Roy Reyer’s Radarbusters network of 45 websites would also be nice enough to sell you exactly what you needed. This is how he built the multi-million dollar online empire that totally dominated an industry.

    I was going to say...

I'm sure NOONE can name a single incident where somebody was put in jail for using a police radar jammer, or even issued a fine by the Feds.

With all that goes on in this country, do you think the FCC would waste their time going after the 0.0000001% of the population that may own a working radar jammer?

You have got to be kidding me.
