a couple of questions, i would like to pick up cb chatter on my scanner but so far havnt figured out how to do that yet, and also on a web page that has a bunch of freqs. there is a column for Frequency and one for input, what is the diffrence example (frequency 155.19000) (input 156.09000)
"There is no scanner currently manufactured that can trunk track Eden Prairie's radio system."
what the hell does that mean?
also how would i go about getting my amature radio licence?
For the second question, go to www.arrl.org
In a radio system that uses repeaters atop towers and buildings, there's 1 frequency that radios receive, and there's a second one (the input) that radios use to transmit to the repeater on.
For most listeners, you program the first freq, and don't program the input freqs into your scanner. This applies to both conventional and trunked systems.
www.radioreference.com is a good site for scanner info and help.
the license is only good for two years right? then you have to renew it or you will lose it?
