    Default Scanner and radar detector?

Wondering if I have my police scanner turned on, what if anything will come up on the display when I turn on my V1, or Bel, or Escort rd's? Has anyone tried this? I plan on doing this when I have some time.

Alias, scanners aren't illegal to use in your home/business. In some states, they are illegal to use in your vehicle unless you have a ham radio license.

i think in florida they are illegal to use in your car cuz my friend had an outlet for it in his bronco because it used to be his dad's car (his dad was a police officer before he died) but my friend told me that you can't have a scanner i guess.

-could someone confirm that? (sorry im really tired so if the above paragraph doesnt make sence, that's why) (got exams this week and i went to bed at 3:00 am last night)

Scanners aren't illegal. Some states though do have laws against having them while in a vehicle. Here are the current laws
    http://www.afn.org/~afn09444/scanlaws/scanner5.html

Florida - (2005 law) - Use Illegal installed or transported in vehicles unless you are either a licensed alarm system contractor, member of Press ON ASSIGNMENT (*note* that), licensed amateur radio operator, or citizen with written permission from Chief of Police or Sheriff or Chief of Fire Department of your community.
