HELP, RS Pro-97
heres the info I need input, this thing is so damed confusing that i cant tune it right:
im looking at the SOuthlake groups at the bottom, now I need to program um, but I cant
I just cant do it at all, this thing is too damed confusing
i don't know what that means at all, i have a PRO-97 too and had no trouble.
try going down to your local radioshack they can get you hooked up with alot of frequencies.
OK I entered the control frequencies and im seeing all the talkgroup DEC numbers, is there any way to filter that to say just one or 2 particular ID, like say I wanna keep an eye on Southlake Dispatch on 16016, is there any way I can do that??
In the future you could try programming using Win97 supposedly it is a lot easier I know it is in programming myBC246T, then trying to navigate the internal programming options.
And I'm not sure how the pro-97 works, but on mine you could program different groups in systems, and you could make a group for the channel you want to monitor, or just hold on that ID
Remember the "Easier to read Manual" is your friend:
Beyond that, it's really worth it to spend the extra money on the USB cable, Win97 software, and the small radioreference memebership fee just to have the capability to import channels (if you live in a large enough area with lots of systems to program).
Yes, you enter the talkgroups you want to hear into a bank that's setup for that trunked system, and then you set the bank to CLOSED. Instead of hearing every talkgroup, now you will only hear the ones in scan list that aren't locked out.
