Default CB... Voice heard on Radio Speakers

When I talk on my CB, My voice comes out (LOUD) over my car radio speakers!!! If I turn the radio off, I'm fine. Is there anything I can do to resolve that issue (besides turning off the car radio)?

    Sorry, I haven't "CB'd" since the 70's, LOL, and I'm "electrically challenged".

I decided to pull my ancient Granada CB out of the attic and stick it in my Lincoln Town Car (yah, I don't throw ANYTHING out!). I am listening to FM radio and the factory stereo DOES incorporate an amp mounted in the trunk (about a foot from my CB antenna). The CB is well grounded under the dash.

What kind of antenna is it and how do you have it mounted?
