radio shack pro-96

i was looking to get my first scanner and i know both digital and analog systems are used in my area. i had been looking into the pro-96 and was wondering if this unit will have everything i need all-in-one so to speak. what should i be looking for and what will i need? this looked to have it all but i figured i would get some advise first

I got one...Personally people say the programing of it is easier than the Unidens but the set-up available with the setting up the channels is so much easier and less complex than the RS pro-96

RS pro96 is a great scanner, reception wise and supposed ease of use(but i don't buy that)
