10-4, using that Midland 75-822 with a mag Wilson 5000, extremely happy with its performance

Very rarely has my scanner given away a LEOs location. But I have picked up a couple of decoy speed traps but they were never on my side of town. The scope of these scanners is pretty big if you live in an urban area like me. Out in the country they can be kind of useful.

all scanners will be obsolete when law enforcement gets around to fully encrypted systems. Texas is so big and has so many departments that it's probably going to be a ways off for us. But Florida HP is encrypted. I could see DPS going that way soon. Border patrol already is.
