Hey whats the deal with these scanners and cb's? Can you talk back into any of them? It would be awesome to tell the cops to eff off. Basically i want a device where i can listen in and also talk some shyt and piss everyone off and they cant do anything about it. I also want to maintain the clean look of the dash while im talking shyt instead of having crap and wires mounted everywhere. Thanks in advance.

No, not originally. I have lived in Crystal River about 7 years ago and recently moved back into Beverly Hills. I'm going to LHS now .

Scanners yous can and listen only. To transmit on a police frequency without a license is a big FCC fine at the minimum, and can quickly grow into a felony if you run your mouth to much.

CBs are much more free for all, sometimes police will listen in, but there's most certainly no guarantee. Run your mouth for long on a CB and there's every likelyhood you'll be walked on.

You have a CB rig... someone in the area has a more powerful CB rig in the same area: You will be walked on... aka, no one will hear you. Most any trucker or any base HAM/CB operator will be able to walk on you.

If you continue to be stupid... and call police and other people this and that and rant and rave on a channel they are listening to... they will literally Key-up there rig (aka transmit well you are transmitting) and no one will receive your audio because you are being overpowered. With your question that you originally posted... I have a feeling you will be keyed over VERY often.

An analogy: You are called on to answer a question in a class, and whisper the answer... well on the other hand a person right next to you screams it at the top of their lungs... who will everyone hear? The person with more 'power'.


In general here: Most officers don't monitor CB channels, you need a scanner to monitor police frequency and such, but you cannot transmit with scanners.



This forum is not about talking sh*t about cops, and having no repercussions (via hiding behind an electronic device). Its about Police Countermeasures so your looking in the wrong area... if you want to talk sh*t about cops... go up to them and talk sh*t to a cop on the job, heck push them around if your that much of a tough guy... and wait for your justified beating/fine/citation/charges.
