Just got the CB installed.

Check it out, just added the CB to the counter-measures. So far I haven't really gotten anything useful out of it but I have only been driving with it for an hour so... what can you really expect.

The piece is machined roughly 2-3 inches back through the dash with a custom bracket. Hopefully I'll get some good saves out of it! Hopefully I'll be able to get my LI on order within the next couple of months here and I can get my idea for the kill switches going... but until then here is my setup:

Good job on your install. You will learn to love your CB when you see how well it works on the highway. You didn't mention the SWR, you do need to set it if you haven't already.

Nice clean install ! Very similar to the location in my SRT4, tucked in low and out of the way.

Mine gives me warnings almost every time I get behind the wheel. A driver gave me a heads-up on a trooper behind me while driving locally today. I never saw him but I KNEW he was back there

You'll find that it's useful anywhere there are big trucks on the road. I'm finding that transmitting isn't necessary because trucks transmit a LOT longer range than we can with our shorter antennas/trunk mounts. Plus a lot of those guys must use amps.

Anyway, welcome to the club! Just wait until you get near a metro area on the interstate You'll be a believer!

i still have my cb installed.. too bad nobody really on it that much anymore.. a few truckers and a handful of everyday commuters.. back in the day there were alot of people on. Times a changing i guess ???
