    Default Beartracker?

i was wondering if the uniden beartrackers work in southern california?
i know that the old beartracker 12 (size of a radar detector) only picks up analog freq. my question is does the california highway patrol still use analog?
and if they dont use analog is there a device that can pick up the digital freq?

According to this site, California Highway Patrol still uses mobile extenders in the 150 MHz range:

So yes, the BCT-12 should still work for you, unless things have changed a lot in the last 6 months or so.

Detecting police by their mobile extenders was always big in California, some radios were called "CHiPS Detectors"...
