Default Who's using cobra 75 handheld?

I just ordered one and picked up a lil'will for the plague.

Not as "hardcore" as the setup in the virus but I'm hoping it'll be useful. I think MEM-TEK uses this setup...

Well, at least you are someone with the experience to make an intelligent comparison and let us know the results.

I own 2 of them and they work great! I plug headphones into the antenna plug section and listen to one side. It rests in my lap where I can turn the squelch and volume up and down and pick it up into my line of sight to change channels or get wx. Hears great as you use a full size antenna and has full legal output. And the whole thing stashes in the center console when I arrive. And then you just unplug it to move from car to car. Best CB radio there is!

I was actually thinking about getting one to hide in the lady's car....you know, so she won't know it's there. =P Let me know what you think. I don't like wasting cash.

I know there is someone else here with a Cobra75 also, but cannot remember who. I think he drives an SUV... I saw it in a picture.

I'll be sure to do a review as soon as I get it installed. It'll be cool having 2 CB equipped vehicles!

I was going to get the Cobra 75, but Sparky suggested I get the Midland 75-822 instead. It's a little more versatile, plugs into the cig lighter, then I run it through a Midnight Special (X force) 250 amp, that I also have plugged into a cig lighter with a little wil antenna. My set up gets great reports, and it can be moved from car to car in minutes. The Cobra is a good little radio and will do the job very well, don’t get me wrong, I am just throwing out another suggestion for you guys to consider is all.

I own the little midland as well and it does afford the option of a true handheld but when would you use it configured like that? Did you say you use your midland and a 250 watt amp both plugged into the lighter plug! Bet that works
