CB for Volvo

Thanks to the posts here, I plan on getting the Cobra 75 for my Volvo S60. However, I am unsure about the antenna and the mount. The trunk is not magnetic, and I do not want to put it on the roof, and I do not want to drill any holes. This seems to leave the trunk lip, but I don't know which one to get. I also read something about mirror mounts, but I have no idea what that is about. I will continue to read and research, but if anyone can give a quick opinion it would be appreciated.

Bigger is better, and if you go trunk lip you'll have to make sure the trunk is grounded.

A mirror mount is a clamp that wraps around a metal bar and is usually used on truck mirrors for large antennas made out of fiberglass sticks or large, metal antennas like this...



In other words, you probably don't want it on your car.

Sorry I can't offer any suggestions for the antenna as I haven't yet dealt with a fiberglass trunk.

You might be stuck with a glass mount if you don't want a magnet mount on your roof..

Get with forum member category4. He has a vette and found a cool license plate mount with a quick disconnect that I think will work great.

Trunk lip NMO and an Antenex C27NMO would leave a pretty small foot print, and not require drilling. Myself, srtga, bradthemad and mrcllusb are running them and all quite pleased. brad used an existing hole, srtga drilled, not sure about mrcllusb, and I used a hatch mount.
