    Default Lil Will loose whip...

    I put my Will on and the friggin' whip is loose even with the screw tight

    I thought it would have two set screws. Anyone else notice this?

    It's held in tight but it still rocks around in the socket...

    change the lentgh of the steel whip from the base then it will tighten then cut the top of the antenna for swr

    You mean raise the whip up so it's not so deep in the socket? I'll try that.

    yea I remember there was some trick to it w/ the alen wrench, been so long tho and I can't recall what I needed to do to fix it.

    Thanks guys! I got the radio in and my V1 remote setup mostly installed. I'll get the SWR set and the rest of the phone cords ran in the AM.

    The 520 looks pretty sharp in my car!

    I've REALLY missed having a CB and a hardwired RD...

    For the whip you can also try replacing the set screw with something a little longer that can hold it tighter?
