    Default Got it in...

    Lil' Wil on the Caddy

I mounted the V1 in the back window using a visor mount. Still have to put the light back...

Colored CD with the wire moved to the back.

I put the 520 in the ashtray. Pretty much a real PITA. I mounted the remote audio adapter switch beside the radio and a speaker in the AC vent. I also put a remote CB speaker under the dash.

The whole setup seems to work pretty well. I got some good reports on the CB today. About the only thing I don't like is the tiny mic. that came with the radio.

I wanted the switch flush mounted like this:

But d@mned if I could figure it out...

I still need to go back in because the CB bleeds over into the little RD speaker when I transmit. I figure I can shield the wire with some tin foil or something.

So you can freak out tailgaters by messing around with X band on off settings on your V1 now?

Good an clean and the 520 really needs a power mic anyways CB constantly buying!

    Good and clean though

Nice! That CB install definitely looks like a PITA.

I'm interested to see any differences you note in RD sensitivity with that mount.

I did some "CVS testing" and I think I've lost some range with it in the rear. I go back on the road next week so I'll know a little more then.

Oh yea, SWARGA rocks as always! (Even though he has a truck motor in his Vette)

It sucks I don't know if it's just the layout of my car or what but it's killed the front range. I can tell a difference from the rear though

It won't be staying there long...

There's one CVS where I can trip folks out by doing a "three, two, one, "BEEP"" because the range is so consistant. The same CVS doesn't register until a full block later now...

Sucks because I like it a lot better there but not enough to risk a ticket...

Hrmm with an STi-R I'd leave the V1 there just for the arrows, that'd be a pimp set up, sux that it decreases the range tho.
