On my way back from a little forum member meeting, where a couple set-ups were tested (Videos on edit-reel as we speak, more info on this later) I ran into this on the ride home:
(PS: CB chatter starts a few seconds into the video and continues throughout... and then Footage of accident is at the end if it is all you care about... and more info on youtube description).

Shows brilliantly the type of chatter one gets on a CB about accident info. I was getting directions (to get home) from a fellow forum member (KaPro) on CH-20, and ran headlong into this... when I switched to 19 (too late to avoid it) here are some clips of info/chatter I got.
This is why a CB (IMHO) is the best countermeasure to have:
You get alerts on LEO's, you can get directions, and furthermore you get vital road information that can increase both your safety (Alligator/weather warnings_ and your driving efficiency (by missing such back-ups if you are on 19 )
