What's the application?
The first will work with the majority of applications including CBs and VHF and low band scanning; scanners or radios listening to 700/800/900mhz radios will need the addition shielding offered in the latter.
What will you use it for?
CB is around 27MHz, so either one of those should work. The limiting factor is probably the PL-259 connector (not recommended for above 300MHz), not the NMO mount.
If it's for a scanner, PL-259 is probably not the right connector (they're usually BNC or SMA), and 500 MHz is probably not high enough, as many public safety systems operate at 800-900MHz.
Oops ... Forgot to include that .. It's only for a CB radio
Save yourself the $$ then, put some of it toward an SWR meter.
Ok just makin sure there wasn't much of a difference .. I was hoping to pay the $14 .. And yes putting the extra on a SWR meter
thanks!
