Default Smallest CB radio antenna recommendation?

I have been pondering adding a CB radio to my sedan, but I really don't want a 3' antenna sticking off the back. So my question is, what size/brand antenna should I look at that will give me reasonable range, but also small enough to not look ridiculous?

Anything less than a Little Wil and you'll have poor results.

If shorter is better, Little Wil. If you want a different look, check out some of the NMO mounts (Antennex, Maxrad, Laird)

We need to change the perception of CB's.

The Wilson Lil Will is the smallest you should ever go! CB antenn'a need height to get proper range. And I am talking 1 mile reception and transmission with anything other than a Wilson lil Wil. If you are worried about the antenna then don't run a CB

BTW's Don't complain that it ruins the lines of your car cause this Maserati looks amazing with them

Lol, I guess I will just have to suck it up and deal with it.

Thanks for the input everyone! One last question though, is the Lil' Wil the 'best
minimum antenna or are there better choices in the same size?

Well I went through with ordering a Lil' Wil antenna to go alongside a Midland 1001Z unit. When I get all the components in and setup I might be able to snap some pictures of the final result.

    Thanks again everyone!

I'm very happy with the height of my little wil. It's just a few inches longer than the stock radio antenna, which is mounted on the other side of the car. Doesn't even hit the ceiling in parking garages or the local drive through. It does sit at a slightly funny angle though, which makes me want to drill a hole to mount my antenna.

I won't drill the hole yet though. My radio still gets way too much noise. I don't want to commit to drilling unless I can resolve the noise issues.

the first day i had my CB27, i never thought about the height of it and drove into the parking garage at school with the windows down and couldn't figure out what the "TWANG....TWANG....TWANG" sound was, so i stopped and noticed my antenna proudly waving in the wind...
