What do you guys think about this? And for one moment here I was thinking about getting a CB.

Ehh...my opinion? If the vehicle code wherever this is issued says that you can't flash your head lights on and off, then the ticket is valid and in itself it's a good stop. I'm okay with that.
I don't mind people telling others about speed traps/DUI checkpoints and the like. In fact, PA state law allows people to flash their high beams to warn other drivers of road obstructions and issues... so a citation for that shouldn't be issued anyway. The more people who know, the better... the point of checkpoints and traps should be to stop illegal activity from occurring.
I do have a problem with this situation though and only because this occurred at night. The flashing itself doesn't cause any issues but I find an issue with the distance the driver was from other vehicles when he flashed his headlights. PA state law, anyway, prohibits a driver from flashing their high beams within 500 feet of another vehicle...the driver in the video flashed his lights, sometimes within a few dozen feet of other vehicles. The distance regulation here is to make sure drivers aren't temporarily blinded and that they keep their eyes on the road, as opposed to the vehicle flashing their lights.
All in all...if this happened during the day I wouldn't care whatsoever... However, at night it really can pose some issues...and doing it multiple times within feet from other vehicles is worse than just once or twice at large distances.
I think this is such a cheap charge. It seems like traffic cops don't realize that some people don't want to play their game. This is another attempt to prevent people from avoiding their speed trap and risk getting robbed.
This should have been a warning. Obviously the cop was pissed that the guy didn't qualify for a speeding ticket so he found a bs charge to stick him with. Totally gay and typical of a traffic cop.
He played roadside lawyer, might as well have wrote the ticket himself to save the officer the work. Never never never play roadside lawyer.
I'm a hypocrite when it comes to headlight flashing, I do NOT do it; but I have had two saves from it. Now a CB, I'm all for anonymously announcing that the second you see it, same would go for trapster if it was easier to use while driving but it's not simple enough to be safe. I've also had many many more saves from the CB than headlights. Flashing headlights or highbeams on is reserved for wrong way drivers, live deer on the road and people who do not shut theirs off; cycling them off from the on position is to let folks know the lane is clear for a change.
Tickets should not be given for these. These guys are bent in fulling the state's pockets..idiots!!
BS ticket insane this type of ticket is allowed in the USA! I hope he fights this just based on principal
