    Default 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?

I am looking to put in a CB and was wondering what type of antenna to buy, and where would be the best place to mount it on the van.

If you want the longest range possible, go for a Wilson 5000 and, if the whip is too high, get an original Wilson short-load (works with Wilson 1000 and 5000), but the short-load must be adjusted to match the proper SWR reading for ch. 19 (the ham shop should be able to do the SWR for about $10).

I drive with a Wilson 5000 and a short-load (it's about 1 ft shorter than the original whip) and I get up to 20 miles of very clear signal on the open road (that's the highway)... and mount it anywhere on the roof where is better for you, it says the best is to put it right in the middle but then you will have to drive with that coax cable hanged all the way on your van... if you chose the magnet antenna, the magnet is ultra-super strong, I do 80-90 mph and not even 1/10 inch of magnet move... very happy with my system...
