CB is just awesome
Just had to say I haven't used my CB in awhile so I went on a short trip via highway the other day - hadn't had the thing on 2 minutes and get a bear report (unmarked going the other way) but still - just reiterates the fact that CB is a great tool to have in your arsenal. Takes away the boredom of a drive, lets you know of police, traffic ahead, accidents, weather, etc. A must have!

Hi RW'07 - I do have another question - can a CB antenna coax be cut and lengthened? The antenna I have I'd like to add about 2 feet to the coax to really put the CB where I want it. I have another CB antenna I don't use, can I combine cables or will that ruin reception? How do I do this anyone? Is it as simple as twisting wires and electrical tape? Do I cut the plug in end? Can this be done? Thanks!

For that particular issue please get in touch with DeadReb245 or Ray or AirMoore and maybe others who know waaaaaaaaaay more then me in modifying devices, cables included... I drive a 4-wheeler, using the handheld Midland 75-822 btwn the front seats, the mag Wilson 5000 is right at the very back of the roof of the car, in the middle, and I got tons of cable to wire a Lincoln Navigator, front to end...
DO NOT CUT THE CURRENT ANTENNA COAX CABLE BEFORE YOU KNOW FOR SURE THAT WHAT YOU WANNA DO IS GONNA WORK PROPERLY!!!
