Yeah I run little L and POP off, with K-band mute...
Could have been an Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, etc with a K-band lane departure system and leaky detectors. Turn POP off if you haven't already, it helps.
From the article:
I agree. The pilot clocked his own speed, then paced the car. Essentially one step removed from clocking the car directly. But again, if you take that first part of 40802...
According to the article, the bear-in-the-air doesn't clock the driver's speed. He clocks his own speed using mile markers and paces the driver. Seems like a loophole in CVC 40802.
If you take...
I had to pry off the threaded inserts to the left and and right of the cable connector. Otherwise, the cable connector wouldn't mate to the LI connector.
Dj, does your car have that solartint glass? I know a few fords do
Eh, I just turn off K-band on the V1 when driving the 101. Haven't seen any LEOs running K-band yet (prob because I've turned it off!).

Well it used to have specific verbiage excluding two-way digital radios (CBs are analog, but whatever). Now it doesn't.
Eh, nevermind. Looks like it referred to Nextel type PTT:
See http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d11/vc23123.htm
Basically the new revision of the cell phone law took effect this year that does not exclude two-way radios from the hands-free provision.

Got any pics of the install?
Any plans to include an option to lock out non-US guns? Seems it would prevent the Infiniti falses.
Be sure to post pics. I know those plugs pop right out on the e92.
Yeah, and did you notice the laser pps lockout bands? No more stupid Infiniti falsing!
Did you cut all the way through the grill? Looks like you did in the this pic, but what about the other grill?4978
I'm curious as to where/how you ran the wires through the firewall and if you had to cut the connectors off, feed wires through firewall, then crimp new connectors on.

Nice install!
Search for "08 09 BMW E92 E93 M3 Matte Black Grill Grille Coupe" on ebay. It's vertical, so you'll have to cut it. Nothing that a dremel with a cutting wheel and sanding bits can't handle.
Wow good info. Didn't know this, thanks!
Thanks Cat4, just what I needed to know. I was hoping not to have to drill another hole in my dash. It'd be nice if it was a 3-way switch like the Blinder.
Does the parking mode switch replace the standard power switch?
You're a day early.
The pic above is from a different model. It looks like there's a flat lip behind the grill where they installed some elbow brackets.
See my pic two posts above. I don't have a lip, just a...
What would you use to cut the grill and how would you mount the head? I'm in the same boat here. See this view of the back of the grill.
Wait for Laser Tamers?

When I used to run POP on, I had an instance where I kept getting short Ka alerts followed by J-outs in traffic. Using the arrows, I narrowed it down to a Porsche in the next lane running a V1 who I...
