I haven't been around here for a while but wanted to hear about the 9500i. Unfortunately, my suspicions seem to be true.
We can all speculate why the lockout feature fails to alert to real radar...
Seems like you are putting too much trust in your RD.
You could have an X50, V1, RX65, STI, veil, and a Blinder M20 front & rear all in your car at the same time and if a LEO whose been sitting...
You can! You'll just die or go to jail.
I've seen a couple of V1's mounted high and hardwired. One of them was in an SUV and get this: the personalized license plate was "VALNTIN" :!: (our plates are limited to 7 characters).
For...
Well, putting thermal underwear on your windshield may reduce your visibility but shouldn't affect the RD...
:?:
That's cool. I understand. 8)
Seriously, you may want exchange it for another unit. It's hard to tell about performance since each encounter is so different (terrain, etc.). Good luck!
I seriously doubt that the performance differences you mentioned have anything to do with the version number. Your previous red X50 was probably not rev 5.
Was there any reason you returned it...
Why do you need an RD and jammer for a Victory? Just kidding.
How often do you have to clean bugs off the front of your X50? It looks like it's in the open air. I use mine behind the...
Highway mode should alert immediately to any radar band. I don't really trust Autoscan because it seems to adapt to recent alerts and possibly delay them by raising the threshold before alerting. ...
look closer
Here's an idea. Anyone???

If it was a full alert, I doubt it was a false. It was probably instant-on from an oncoming LEO.
Were you in Highway mode? City and Autoscan will sometimes delay X band alerts until they are...
Why would a jammer make them slow down?
You will need to program the Talkgroup ID's also. The RR page you visted has lists of Dubuque Talkgroup ID's about half way down the page. You'll need to enter the decimal (DEC) ID's such as:
...
Yes, you can only do one trunked system per bank. If it's Motorolla or APCO-25 you only need to enter the control frequencies. Don't lockout active control channels! That will kill all traffic in...
Most of the newer radars can do same lane or opposite lane either stationary or mobile, including the MPH Bee III.
It's just not very common to pick up radar from the rear unless the LEO is...

Based on your dislike of falses I would stick with the X50, especially since you got a good deal on it and have the extended warranty. I think the X50, STI and RX65 will all have similar...
Huh? Have you ever used the Pro-73? It's an excellent RD and is no where near "bad quality"! Where did you learn this from? I suggest you go and read radar Roy's tests and go read all the success...
Neither of those detectors will give you much protection. Stay away from cordless detectors! Their performance sucks.
Based on your selection, I'm guessing you don't want to spend a lot. ...
360 degree detection is just marketing bs. Radar and LIDAR can't get accurate speed readings beyond certain angles anyway.
I agree that you shouldn't worry about rear detection so much. The main...
How can happy and this other dude say that these 6.1's and 5's are the same in performance????? After the fcc approval on the new fcc id # change because of the new horn receiver...Which I do think...

Both Azonehits and TheTexan have good points. The additional antenna of the V1 does allow lingering alerts after the source is passed but any detector is greatly affected by terrain and reflections....
Since Iowa was mentioned I'll chime in on this. Other than LIDAR, Iowa State Patrol uses instant-on Ka exclusively and they are very good at it. It's usually while moving but also while parked.
