That's what i'm talking about thx...you da man!!
yeah man, no jammers leaves me a bit naked out there...i may need to upgrade my setup around tax time.

it all comes down to a driver's priorities. to me, the V1 is simply not an option. it's not that the V1 sux or doesn't get the job done. on the contrary, it's probably the best RD that i have ever...
about a year ago...in north carolina (up near the virginia border). i was getting tired of X-band falses, and was planning on turning off my X-band in the next day or so.
ended up getting a save...
not sure how much time you (the OP) spend in "RD=illegal states", but this was a big part of my reasoning behing picking up and STI-driver vs the V1.
i live in NC, but have a sister in dental...
i'm the kind of guy that looks for whatever is considered "top of the line" for any particular product...then i try to find the next thing down on the totem pole. i figure for a slight reduction in...
in the city: 5+
within the city limits, there are simply too many good spots for law enforcement to hide. it's almost not fair. combine that with the fact that local/county/state law...
i do lots of driving in/near virginia...i like my Bel STI-Driver
i don't drive much faster than i normally would. on the highway, i tend to do 12-15 over the PSL. now, with a RD, i might be more prone to keep it at 15+ for a prolonged period of time.
if...
i don't have a mini-keychain level (sounds neat though!)...but i always try to "eyeball" it as best as i can and get it level.
not sure if it helps/hurts performance, but it just looks better when...
why did i buy a RD?
i drive for a living. too many speeding tix means that i could potentially lose my means of income. i have a wife. one day i will have kids. as a man, not being able to...
i love my STI driver, but i think that when it comes to countermeasures, nothing beats a good ol...

if a rabbit doesn't count as a countermeasure, then i would say my RD, followed...
on behalf of the queen city (i think thats an awful nickname for a city), welcome to the forum!
i live in charlotte, and i probably would've gone with a V1, but i go up to virginia pretty often (have family up there, and my wife loves DC).
i need protection in the peoples republic of...
if x-band is not used in your area, then just turn it off. here in NC, it is used, and i've been hit with it, so i have to keep it on...false alerts and all
i live in NC. i know that X-band is listed as "in use" according to the threads on this forum, but i didn't believe it until i saw it.
in a matter of 10 days, i got hit with X-band 3...
i'm a roadrip-aholic. not only that, but in my new job, i drive all over NC everyday. i love my job, but i HATE dealing with the LLLs!! i don't believe there is a law against passing on the right...
i always heard that metallic tint is great if:
1. you're looking for an inexpensive tint option
2. you don't use radar detectors, gps, satellite radio
3. you are more concerned with making...
not trying to hijack the thread, but isn't speeding in the city just asking for trouble? i mean, you don't really stand a chance with all the good hiding spots within a city.
my RD is only on...
i have been "borrowing" my friends sti driver for nearly 2 months now...i'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse! LOL
my question is this...what settings are you guys running on your STI? i...
from what i've seen, you've got to spend about $150 to get a decent RD. the 8500, pro 78, and bel 955 are all going to serve a pretty good purpose for the price you're looking to spend.
any RDs...
