I would suggest a refurbished escort 8500 for $149.00. Check the escort outlet on ebay. It has the S7 antenna and my works great (3 yrs no problems)

When that happened to me I sent it back and has worked like a champ. It takes about 7-10 days to get it back depending on wher you live.
