Not really, I have an STiR now and love it. I don't need the GPS technology
Most stealth because it is a remote detector or because it is the least detectable? Correct if the first, incorrect if the latter. The M3 antenna is used in the Redline, STi, STi-R, and 9500ci,...
I understand that LEO's are targeting the outside rear view mirrors when shooting from behind. I wonder if the new Laser Tamer will be able to protect this area?
Our Laser Diodes are the same devices used in Police LIDAR Guns which themselves rarely if ever fail despite running in a "Constant Duty" use mode whilst the same devices in the Laser Interceptor...
Probably fairly good depending on where you are, unless you're making it test fire all the time and are doing videos of it.
If I get hit once a month with Laser its unusual despite how many times...
What is the expected life span of the diodes in LJ's
I would think the 'lane asssist' in these cars would inhibit the use of an on board RD.
What the STi-R has over the V1:
Stealth from RDD
Stealth from the eyes- remote install
Better off axis detection especially on 35.5
Better detection of Ka band QT
Less Ka falses with RDR-Off...
It is my opinion that the lion's share of drivers out there that stay out of the show off lane and drive the PSL, or stay in the general traffic flow. Those folks just don't feel the need for an RD...
It has to be VERY close to the head, like touching it.
I would suggest a Bel STiR +. One of the very best RD's that dosn't leak, has GPS to eliminate falses and is completetly stealth. You do NOT want to get caught with an RD in Ontario.
What bands did you test? My 9500ci was the about the same for X and K band with and without obstruction, but 34.7Ka performance was erratic behind the grille, sometimes good and sometimes horrible. ...
I mounted the STiR antenna behind the plactic bumper of a C6 Vette. I did testing with it on the outside and behind the bumper skin and found no measurable difference. I ran a comparison test with...
Has anyone seen X in Wisconsin or Minnesota?
What would CP have to gain by sabotoging the RD test event? He would have to have gone through considerable time and trouble to set that up, plus the expense of the equipment. Leaving his name on...
Are you talking about the continental United States?
So Barry, did you grt your monthly update? I have an STi R that was sent into Belscort last January for a ramp up update so I know they have my address etc.
I have never recieved any sort of...
I wanted a suppliment speaker for my LI's, neither Ultimate Electronics or Radio stocked the speaker I needed. I bought the remote speaker from Belscort as well. I ordered it on line it was here in...
The LEOs are using it in the Eastern suburbs of St Paul Minnesota. (Washington County / Cottage Grove area) I got hit with IO IO (instant on, instant off) point blank in my truck at about 500 -700...
I look at it like this:
I knew what it was when I bought it and understand it's shotrcomings. I love the stealth of the STiR coupled with LI's it is a nice combination albiet weak on IO / QT. ...
That's true but Escort have a great tool that could be used if they only wanted to help up - software upgrades.
It's simple - let them give us for instance two separate modes - QuickT-K and...
Is IO actuated automatically by the LEO's gun when a target is spotted and QT physically 'triggered' by the LEO?
Yes, It was recieved on a STi R. Would a V1 alert to it, albiet then too late?
I had two saves yesterday thanks to a rabbit about 1/4 mile ahead. Both K band.
In both instances the LEO was in a mobile coming at me. The RD burst was approxmately 2-3 seconds. I am curious...
