Thanks for all the response; I just installed my V1 with my non-smart cord escort hardwire and its working perfectly. I'll update this post once I try to enter programming mode :)
Edit: Yup, no...
Hey guys,
I had a V1 for almost 5 years and was intrigued by all the features I heard about the 9500ix with what was supposed to be equal range. Sold the V1 and got the 9500ix. After locking...
Was wondering because I just bought a V1 and I'm going to be selling my Escort 9500ix. It's going to be convenient to just use the currently installed Escort hardwire kit and plug it into the V1. ...
Cool glad I saw this! I was also wondering about the same thing hoping polarity wouldn't be reversed.
Thanks!
Thanks! :) Hope I can get them tested soon and report back some positive results.
Thanks for the comments!
Yup, the wired side is opposite the headlight, so the other end with the sensor is next to each headlight.
Inside is nothing fancy, I picked up a project box from...
Definitely a good point on the JTG, gotta be responsible
Finally done! (excuse the cellphone pictures and the dirt)

I appreciate that man, we'll be in touch after its installed.
Great, as soon as I receive and install it, I'll let you know. :) Isn't West Palm a long drive for you though?
Sounds like a plan then. Can't wait to get it and put my dremel to use!...
I definitely understand your point, I wasn't 100% sure the X hit was directly linked to the FHPs, just two events that coincided with each other. Other possible explanation is that since my 9500ix...
Will definitely keep that in mind :D (sorry about the double post!)
you will have to cut both into the bumper and the mock grill...it has to be done with bang on tolerances so the sensors' front lenses are flush w/grill for the factory killer look.[/QUOTE]
Going...
Sounds like a plan. Deciding whether or not to cut will depend on the mounting hardware and depth measurements.
Thanks for the advice so far! :)
Just fixed it, thanks!
I've been thinking over my install a little more and the placement on the upper honeycomb grille would make things a little complex. Since it goes up and down with the hood, it would make running...
Welcome!
There's actually a recent thread mentioning a trap in a construction zone with the LEO's wearing orange vests! It's getting rough, but the info on here will definitely help a lot!
Welcome! (I'm not going to contribute to a V1 vs 9500ix debate lol) Both are great, just a matter of which fits you best.
However, I've been hearing alot about the 2009 GOL test. I'd wait on...
Surprisingly I was hit with X band a few weeks back on a speed trap set up on I75 heading southbound to 826. FHP was setup on an overpass and chase vehicles were below, all with customers. This was...
I've also been wondering this same thing...
Welcome!
Although it may seem confusing at first, there are many here who are willing to help you out. I know I've learned a lot and I'm sure you will too.
Welcome!
Lower outer corners of the upper honeycomb grille, just above the bumper. Yes, you'll probably have to cut the grille. No, you can't just stick them under the bumper and still get the same...
Thanks! Six weeks is actually perfect timing, that's when my schedule should start freeing up. Definitely a great group of people on here, I appreciate everyone's willingness to help.
