Anyone have an opinion about this detector?
What is their problem? Do you know why they have so much animosity toward jammers?[/QUOTE]
I figure it's just because they had one officer actually stumble through the process of prosecuting a...
The law doesn't prohibit possession of a laser jammer, just it's use. Neither does it mention devices installed before the law came into effect.
Got a visit from a LEO
I was riding back to my old lady's house after work for dinner when my lazer detector alerted me twice. Did a speed check before it alerted so I wasn't worried about...
That law has gaping holes in it. RADAR is an acronym/technical term, LASER is also an acronym/technical term with an entirely different definition. In the first part they try to glom the 2 together...
Thanks for a great meet. Now I know I'm covered on the front. I have to open the rear head and check out what's up with it.
Great work on the schematic. I'll have the family engineer take a look at it. This stuff looks way more advanced than what Mem-tek was doing.
I'd keep the V supply separate until you know...
This time I will make it. I wanna test out my setup that's on my motorcycle. Been dyding to know if it works or not.
I've noticed that they stopped using lidar up in North Dallas and are sticking to the Ka band with a lighter signal. They might be using the new stalker radar down here.
Been wanting to test my DIY refurbished laser jammer system mounted on a Ninja 650r
Sorry no pics. I unsoldered the metal cage that houses the photodiode circuitry. The photoLEDs weren't getting any current because a resistor broke off. Lots of teeny tiny capacitors and resistors...
Not sure. It's possible the guy who had it before me had issues with it. Or they fired independently depending on which sensor got the most IR. Or it could be the way the front shifters are...
You could also try a phono adapter that attenuates the sound...http://www.dv247.com/assets/products/37666_l.jpg
Have you tried a ground loop isolator? ...
To trigger the ZR3 have you tried making your own pulsed 904/905 nm laser to shine on the photodiode? The photodiode is on the outer side of the head.
From what I read about Mem-Teks mods. All...

hook that up to the output from your rockstar mixer.
Why don't you make this simpler. Create a separate head with your 904nm diode lasers array with proper power driver. Use some transistor relay to activate the laser head when one of the LEDs in the...
Hey, that's some good work with the ultrasound device. The remote I used belongs to a 50 in LCD TV made by Vivitek.
If the heads are similar to the ZR4 heads. The tabs are easy enough to open...
If you are going to trash it, can you send it to me. I'd like to do some mem-tek type mods to it.
That sucks... and bikes are known to have big issues with noisy electrical systems, combine that with escorts known issues with laser falses on a noisy electrical system, and you need a good in-line...
never mind... I blew the controller module after shortening the front shifter cable while trying to fix the laser falsing @ 3000 rpm problem.
Use a tv remote and press the vol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oMig9E-pcA
If you come up with something, send me a schematic. I know you will need:
(8) 904/905nm laser diodes.
...
Just tested these using a tv remote. The front heads work great but the rear head doesn't respond. If there was something wrong with the rear connection, the display would indicate a rear...
Welcome to Dallas.
The beginning of the month and the end of the month are big quota days.
sounds good
