In the time it took you to modify your existing RD for spectre, you could have worked a part time job at McDonalds to earn enough money to buy a Redline.
I also have an 9500ix, I would say it's equal in range.
The Redline with Escort Live is the ideal set up right now.
Did you change it because the metal facing on the previous ones rusted? (like mine has)
I've had an IQ for about a year now (great detector and GPS btw) and the metal plate on the front of the detector is starting to show spots of rust. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?
I do not have personal experience with this product, but most people have told me it's by far superior to anything else on the market in terms of photo and red light detection. This is just what...
I do not recommend the 9500ci at all. I would plead you to get the Bel Sti-R and get either a Blinder or Laser Interceptor jammer. The LI is the best unit on the market, according to most of the...
If it breaks it will cost at least $75 to fix at Escort, so buy at your own risk. A new one will come with a warranty....and less germs.
I'm surprised you were not ticketed for indecent exposure. :D
9500ix. Anything else will drive you nuts in any decent sized city.
Redline if you're rural, 9500ix if you live in a city.
I'd sell the V1 because the Redline is a superior detector. If I wanted a false signal detector, I'd keep the V1.
I have a lot of experience driving in Chicago and the suburbs, even on the highway, I think are going to have a lot of false signals.
It depends on your area. Where I live, there are still plenty of police using radar.
But in an ideal world every cop would use laser and we'd all just buy laser jammers and never get tickets.
I'm glad someone on here is making some sense instead of being a fanboy about V1.
Redline is a better detector, hands down.
I know it's a great detector, the question is, is it better than the Redline? Because why buy the V1, when the Redline is just a little better?
The V1 is a great detector, but it there is a problem when researching this detector. Many people here and on review websites give the V1 way more credit than what's due simply because they like...
I would avoid the Whistler.
The 995 is going to be your best value. But if you want a bit better performance and do not mind spending the money, I would stick with the 8500.
OP, why not consider the Redline?
It performs better than the V1 and has less false signals.
It would be my dream come true if police only used laser.
Everyone would just buy laser jammers and we'd never worry about a ticket again.
If anyone is selling this product for less than what we sell it for, they are NOT an authorized reseller, even if they claim it. Call Bel and ask.
Do your homework first.
That's a trade off because you're giving up auto-filtering.
Agreed. The 9500ci is overpriced and overrate. The laser jammers on that unit are substandard and I think give Escort a bad rap. Escort is a great company and it's a shame their jammer is not...
OP, I think it's great you enjoy radar detectors, but I would advise you to do some research before you make your next purchase.
Most of the detectors you have bought are substandard and that's...
