Thanks for the info nine. Those long range tests are a bit misleading anyway as the whistler competes well with top tier models on k band when in reality is lacking performance.

Excellent. Whistler has need improvent on k band for quite some time now. Im glad you guys have addressed that.

Do you know what radar is used in your area?

I sure hope there is some improvement on k band. Im sure there is some improvement or why go to the trouble of adding all the features and no performance gains?

K band wasnt a strong suit to begin with. They are being very quiet so Im hoping for some awesome improvements.

I havent gotten any ka9 falses since i had tsfr put on my 693se. My main concern is the weak k band range. I put my 693 as my backup since I had too many close calls with local leos.

Filtering with tfsr is an improvement. I hope they can up the performance on k band.

I think the ka9 falses have a fix but the x/k band confusion still is the same.

I know the pro 73 and pro 58 are the same just different options but I dont think the 1763 is on the same platform but not sure.

A properly working V1 smokes any Whistler on every band. Terrain might equalize detection range at times, but that doesn't change the fact that a V1 is much more sensitive on every band.[/QUOTE]

The new se whistlers have really good range on ka and will hang with v1 in most cases. The v1 is much better on k band.

I agree if it is working correctly then it is a good detector. The s7 is very good at off axis detection and very good on k and ka band.

Ive had real good alerts on ka band which is impressive considering the curvy and hilly terrain I have. It is a fairly quiet and with the new beta changes It will help even more.

From what ive read they have fixed the ka9 false alerts and added tfsr for traffic sensors.
