Yea, lots of laser here on the Island. However, they are not using VACAR are they? I know you need to be "trained & certified" to clock speeders.

Re: Long Island, NY Radar experiences.

Solid, I'm not surprised. This is why I started this thread, the detectors rarely go off even though a bunch of them are out there! I even sold the Redline and switched to a V1 thinking maybe it will...

Re: Long Island, NY Radar experiences.

Driving upto exit 64 on the LIE will give you a good experience of what is being used in Suffolk, Exit 49-68+ is all considered Suffolk. I suggested 64 cause I thought you wanted to make a trip out...

Yes, I believe Riverhead has their own Police Force. I remember seeing these cars about 3 months ago when I went to the Long Island Aquarium.

Hello guys, haven't posted here in a while. Been on the road quite a bit with the V1.

I have since turned on K-Band, it seems that's what is mostly being used by the PA Troopers. However, found...

Re: Long Island, NY Radar experiences.

LEO follow cars like that for several reasons:

    - to be an a-hole
    - check if the drivers get nervous and does something stupid
    - they want the car to move out of the way
    - and the main reason,...

I must agree, the Arrows are PRICELESS. Once you have them, you can't use a radar detector without them.
