Thanks NA. You too. Actually I was in North Alabama earlier this year. Cullman, Al.
Anyway, I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a new version, but hearing that the K falses are still very...
Still have my rock-solid 3.826 and it still performs to my satisfaction.....but the K-band falses are becomming more & more annoying with the proliferation of anti-collision devices on newer cars.
...
As I read the OP's original post, I couldn't help but laugh to myself knowing what his true feelings were. Your post reeked of the 'loser of an argument'. It is so blatantly obvious that you will...
Great honest post.
After having a V1 for 14 years now, I just can not understand how anyone with $400 would buy anything else.
Yes you hear about a few other models that beat it by x seconds or the...
Do you have satellite radio in New Zealand?
My V1 did what yours is doing when I had my XM radio antenna inside the car on the dash.
NJ is a state where you could get burned with the 3.813 since your state uses X-Band radar.
The 3.813 will fall out of tune on X-Band relatively quickly and you won't even be aware of it.
When you...
My V1 (3.826) has been on top of my windshield in the Florida sunshine since new and I am still amazed by its performance.
My wife's V1 (my old 3.813) has been on top of my windshield and then her...
I see your point living in Pennsylvania.
But here in Florida where every road is straight & flat, cruise control is a no brainer.
Use cruise control anywhere you can. If a hill is coming just give it a little gas beforehand.
Agreed.
Use common sense along with your radar detector to get the most out of it.
No rabbit? Don't do more than 10-15 psl.
Thought moving mode was a no-no in Pa even for PSP?
If I had to sit and stare at a downed tree at 7:00 in the morning, I would fall asleep too.
This is why I'm still skeptical about the purported K & Ka band performance increases some of you guys are reporting. There is a big contradiction here being that VR is a very reputable company. ...
Are you sure the 3.892 will be the final version and the 3.891 is the beta? The 3.873 was the beta for a while. If anything, the 3.891 is the stable.[/QUOTE]
No. I honestly am not sure of anything...
With that kind of creative thinking, you're sure to come up with some great ideas.
However I'm going to play the devil's advocate.
Your new design will have cars coming from both directions in...
If what this guys says is true and if they aren't stolen, I'm really freakin jealous!
There are always bugs in a beta anything; Anyone who buys now is a tester of this new version.
If you already have a V1, it would be wise to wait until at least March of 2012 or Ver. 3.892.
Beta...
Unless you are in New Jersey, turn X-band off. It will save you TONS of false alerts. Just make sure to have X-Band on when you are in NJ.
One K encounter per year?
-Little "l" (so you can still see a weak alert)
-Unmute at 6 led's
-Rear K mute
Know your false K locations and when that arrow lights up anywhere else, pay...
Love that video. Of course it's mostly BS though.
My take on that video is that they were smoking grass and/or drinking (judging by how freaked out the passengers were and the rolling up of the...
From what I understand, an officer can legally search your car without your consent if he has "probable cause". Defining "PC" is another matter altogether.
This "L" thing reminds me of the "i" self-test option on the 3.813. I think it was beta POP testing, but VR didn't say that, they just called it self-test mode.
Also, I don't think VR is trying...
The K Band muting feature unlocks the mute at 4 or 6 segments on the LED strength meter. It seems these TSR's give a full blast of K Band, so your mute feature is instantly disabled and you'll get a...
EPIC!
Mark this day down on your calendars guys & gals. This is a day that will live in infamy!
