  1. Questions about V1 & voltage when starting your car

Once in a while I forget to turn off the V1 after I park; And as most V1 owners know, when you re-start the car with the V1 powered-up it make a lame (voltage surge) sound and re-boots. So I have...

Thanks NA. You too. Actually I was in North Alabama earlier this year. Cullman, Al.

Anyway, I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a new version, but hearing that the K falses are still very...

    K-Band filtering

Still have my rock-solid 3.826 and it still performs to my satisfaction.....but the K-band falses are becomming more & more annoying with the proliferation of anti-collision devices on newer cars.

  4. Re: Holy Crap I am very very DISSAPOINTED in VR. I hope this gets back to Mike-Valent

As I read the OP's original post, I couldn't help but laugh to myself knowing what his true feelings were. Your post reeked of the 'loser of an argument'. It is so blatantly obvious that you will...

    Great honest post.
After having a V1 for 14 years now, I just can not understand how anyone with $400 would buy anything else.
Yes you hear about a few other models that beat it by x seconds or the...

Do you have satellite radio in New Zealand?
My V1 did what yours is doing when I had my XM radio antenna inside the car on the dash.

    Re: Version 3.813

NJ is a state where you could get burned with the 3.813 since your state uses X-Band radar.
The 3.813 will fall out of tune on X-Band relatively quickly and you won't even be aware of it.
    When you...

My V1 (3.826) has been on top of my windshield in the Florida sunshine since new and I am still amazed by its performance.
My wife's V1 (my old 3.813) has been on top of my windshield and then her...
  9. Re: Poor Driving Habits Can Lead to 45% Drop in Fuel Economy

I see your point living in Pennsylvania.
But here in Florida where every road is straight & flat, cruise control is a no brainer.
  10. Re: Poor Driving Habits Can Lead to 45% Drop in Fuel Economy

Use cruise control anywhere you can. If a hill is coming just give it a little gas beforehand.

Use common sense along with your radar detector to get the most out of it.

This is why I'm still skeptical about the purported K & Ka band performance increases some of you guys are reporting. There is a big contradiction here being that VR is a very reputable company. ...

There are always bugs in a beta anything; Anyone who buys now is a tester of this new version.
If you already have a V1, it would be wise to wait until at least March of 2012 or Ver. 3.892.

Unless you are in New Jersey, turn X-band off. It will save you TONS of false alerts. Just make sure to have X-Band on when you are in NJ.

From what I understand, an officer can legally search your car without your consent if he has "probable cause". Defining "PC" is another matter altogether.

    Re: V1 3.891

This "L" thing reminds me of the "i" self-test option on the 3.813. I think it was beta POP testing, but VR didn't say that, they just called it self-test mode.

Also, I don't think VR is trying...
