I'm expecting delivery of an STIR Plus tomorrow so I'm hoping I get a hot one...
Is that a cable of some sort coming out the bottom of the box?
1. Reliability: Has yours broken?
No and and is almost 1 year old.
2. Enjoyable: Do you like it? Are you happy with your purchase?
Yes, very please with the Redline.
3. False alerts: I...
I've seen the ads for these and I wonder if they might give a false sense of security that might actually prove to be dangerous...
I agree, there is no reason to not allow as much room as possible.
Before we had the nationwide 55 MPH limit in the 70's I believe Kansas was an 80 MPH state.
Purchased my first radar detector around 1970 and it was really good at telling me when I was getting close to an airport.
Sunoco dropped the 94 octane gas a few years ago. Most stations in Eastern PA have 93 and I know all the Shell stations have 93.
I made the move to cell only last years and should have done it years before.
I drink very rarely and never drink and drive but I hate getting caught in DUI check points. The delay is often long and if I know in advance where one is I will reroute to avoid it.
I run a Redline from my visor in my ///M Roadster and that works quite well. I am likely going to install an STi-R + in the near future and am trying to decide the best place for the remote display....

I am planning on adding the STi-R+ in the near future. I suspect that I will continue to run my Redline as well. I also would prefer the red display as all of my other interior lights are red.
Interesting web site run by a friend of mine:

Just another way to make even more money...
I came within literally inches of an accident a few years ago when a soccer mom blew a stop sign in her mini-van while talking on a cell phone. She never saw the stop sign and never saw me as I got...
No, but the individual I talked to is well connected and knows many of the local state officials. I took it that when he told me that the fix is in that means the bill was discussed between a number...
I was discussing this bill with a local LEO a few days ago who is a friend of mine. He told me the fix is in on this one but as they say you never know until the fat lady sings. I am considering...
Nice find...:D
My Redline hands down the best detector I've ever had. I'm very impressed with the STi-R and when I can fine someone to do the install like I want I will be running that as well.
