the switch you are talking about is to let you choose if you want to use the external 4 position switch, or just use the cpu to contol the power of the unit. the mute wire just turns into a ground...

Blinder or LI will both have you covered, both are great systems.

i have it on my 04 passat. you should check out the new blinder hp-905. solid system.

sounds like you picked up laser scatter, or were not at the leo's threshold. anyways i would suggest the Blinder 905 or LI instead of the ZR4, its jamming is not up to far, buts its detection is...

you can run the erase file that is built into the updater, load it to the cpu, plug the cpu back into the car and switch on, let all the heads update with the erase software, until beeps are done. ...

welcome. sounds like you did your research. go for the sti-r+, and LI is a great jammer. i drive a passat myself and install is easy, just a bit of a pain to run wires through the fire wall.

I installed a new deck into my car yesterday the sony xplod (CDX-GT550UI). i was wondering if anyone knew how to wire an jammers auto mute into it. i know some of the sony models hava an ATT cord...

with sucha smaller profile for a bike should work well. i would not mount it this way on a car though. you should get great protection from the blinder. mine has never let me down

i would use 3m molding tape. or something similar. mine has held well. the tape option is great. it wont hurt or damage your car, and can be easily done.

i would agree that they look low. only real way to know is with testing. the install looks really nice though

i agree the plate cover is ok. i appled veil to mine but i also added the thrid head to protect my plate area
