    Re: Laser interceptors OR AntiLaser??

Probably at least 4-5 times per year. They seem to love laser around here and use a variety of tactics. I've seen the typical speed-trap scenario where a cruiser is parked with the LEO shooting out...

    Re: Laser interceptors OR AntiLaser??

I agree, even with the price of some of these new lidar guns dropping why replace whats not broke. You also have PD's that have contracts with specific manufacturers.

As time goes on we will see...

Cliff, could he cut the connector head off, run his wire, then reconnect (solder) the connector head back on?

Re: The future of Valentine One? Dismal.

This is like buying a set of speakers based on how they look. I think he sounds like more of a potential Cobra customer... "man, just LOOK at my radar detector!"
  7. Re: hope this isnt a valentine forum moderator or ill be kicked out

Watch the Belscort completely outperform the V1 on this encounter (beginning at around the 50 second mark).

    Re: Ready, Camera, Action…

I don't have any experience with the Cheetah, but can attest that the STiR + has been very good with its camera functions. I have not yet noticed it miss a camera, and it has pointed out more...

Re: Just got a ticket with my redline

I'm no expert, but I'd put my V1 up against your Pro300 in I/O. I know people like to compare themselves and claim to be better than the V1, and do admit that the V1 is by no means perfect, but in...

Are you saying VR will charge him for a brand new model, but then ship him a refurb instead? If so, what you are basically saying is that VR will deliberately commit consumer fraud. Perhaps their...

I've read that Waze and Trapster are far more viable options. While the conecpt of automatic updates through Escort Live is a great perk, I agree with you that the very limited user base (by...

Re: Just got a ticket with my redline

I was wondering about leaky cobras etc., but usually I see those on the STiR + in the 33.7 range. Also, doesn't the V1 "Junk" those and display a "J" (remember, I'm still a V1 n00b).

    I'm...

Good call. The redline's a much better RD for highway than the ix.

Re: Just got a ticket with my redline

Yes, you can, and Valentine One does have the no risk trial period. Keep in mind though, that it will probably give you the same effect. You just have to be smarter while driving on roads. Don't...

    Re: My New Toy!

No doubt your V can scoot! For being big heavy 4-door sedans, these things embarass a lot of "fast cars". Over the winter, I'm porting the S/C and the snout, adding a throttle body, cam, pulleys,...

    Re: My New Toy!

DO IT! You won't regeret it. Slap a CAI on it, pulley, and a tune, and you turn an already fast car into a F'ING FAST car! I ran 11.8 @ 122 with just a CAI and mail-order tune. Get a black one to...

Don't forget VanMan, that the ZR1 is FI. There's plenty more to be wrung out of that engine as well. I've owned turbo cars and this (my CTS-V) is my first S/C car. While it may not be fair to compare...

    Re: Redline better than V1?

Escort was right. I don't have a Redline, but I don't believe it has a rear facing sensor for laser. Even if it did, you seriously can't expect a windshield mount radar detector to properly protect...
