which of the 3 modes are you guys running?

Is there a way to test if the radar detector is working correctly? I just went on a 10 mile drive through the city and not a single beep. I tried all 3 modes on the V1.

I have it mounted right...

X off
Laser off
POP off

You may want to mute rear antenna on K, since cops in PA can't use moving radar.

I am not sure about a brief K mute, it could be dangerous. Someone else chime...

I also had to send mine in. No more anoying service required beeps

I also got "service required" message within few days of use.

Is that the only reason?

I'm not quite ready to dish out $450 for a new RD. I guess the best solution for me is keeping my V1 and a cheap Radio Shack RD that I can give away to OPP if I get pulled over.
