Mine (one week old) operates the same way...it displays P-O-P on startup with POP on; doesn't display a flashing P at all with mute options enabled

^^^^ I looked them up...they only mod the concealed displays, but it looks nice. They will also sell you a new/already-modded cd, so I may go this route myself since languy isn't in the picture...

^^^^. Let us know what they say; I've seen a single J-out on my new V1 in 4 days of ownership, and ive been through that same spot several times, so I believe it to have been a real J-out.

After years of wondering where the radar signal was being detected from with my 8500, I finally gave up and ordered a V1 today. WooHoo!

Most of my driving is highway (no drones here yet either)...
