If you have Ku band enabled you may be picking up a false Ku band alert. No dots will light up on the bands but a small dot ( . ) appears in the lower right corner of the bogey counter

You can use it but you won't be able to use the mute button on the v1 and you won't be able to get into the programming menu

Congrats I love my v1 and its number one in my book and I've used a lot of detectors

Its 1.85 firmware revision 3.892 you are going up from 1.8 to 1.85

When I tuned mine up I didn't get any notice but got it back within 5 business days

I have a straight phone cord I used for my concealed display about 20 ft and works fine got it at bestbuy I think

Both v1s I bought on CL were dead on x and k. I just got my 3.813 back from a tune up and it works amazingly I am super impressed

And also yes it will still be detected by a rdd

Hey everyone long time reader of this forum just decided to sign up. I own a v1 (3.813) and love it and radar detectors and everything else on this forum is interesting so I figured I would join and...

I bought a used v1. The version is 3.813 and I have been reading that this version is supposedly pretty hot... My question is would you upgrade this to the newest version or should I just do a tune...
