Retired LEO here.
YES! Measurement is correct.
Police radar configuration does NOT effect the accuracy of a properly tuned unit.

Oh ... and let's not forget .... whatever radar detector you decide to purchase, make sure it's mounted properly in your vehicle (straight and level) and NOT pointing into outer space.
Know, too,...

UPDATE:
On Thursday, December 20th, I appeared in the Municipal Court of Pooler, Georgia. Although I was a half-hour early, there must have been at least 250 - 300 people crammed into that small...
Today is Sunday, and is exactly one week from the issuance of that darn speeding citation. Dudes, this thing has literally possessed me over the past week. I've been up since 4 am this morning...
My wife found RDs annoying until about 2 years ago when, early on a Saturday morning in a tiny little town just outside Statesboro, GA, she got hit with radar. She was driving my handicapped...

I started using a radar detector a few years ago after observing...
I've heard of this happening before, but always shrugged it off as being almost impossible. However, today made me a believer.
This morning at approximately 9:15 a.m. I was traveling I-95...
Thanks for the information .... I'd sure hate to lose my V1, particularly after just having the $189 upgrade.

I am leaving in the morning for Indianapolis from my home in Savannah, GA. I travel with a V1 radar detector. A couple of hours ago my brother-in-law called and told me that NC had banned radar...
Dude ... the V1 picks up radar, not cop cars. If the LEOs are simply congregating with radar off, and not working traffic, you will not get a signal. Your V1 is fine.

WOO-HOO .... it actually posted!

[QUOTE=midd;884890]Slow down killer! I was very anxious to get my V1 back from the update. But you are ready to slice VR's throat and your V1 probably hasn't left your local UPS yet! And on just...
