    Re: V1 or MAX

I like this statement. I am totally fine with growing with improvements. Being in the IT field, we test as much as possible within project SLA, and then deploy, and clean up bugs afterwards. (Same...

    Re: Your Most Difficult Encounters?

It has to do with the design of the antennas. The smaller the horn them greater off axis reception you get. Enlongate the antenna even while maintaining or increasing the divergence of the horn's...

    Re: Your Most Difficult Encounters?

For curvy hilly roads the only windshield mount radar detector that I would trust is an Escort Redline. It has the best off axis (around bend), and over hill sensitivity of all windshield mount...

    Re: V1 or MAX

The Max still has a lot of bugs. If you want to purchase a RD now, get the V1 or the Redline. Keep an eye on the forums, and wait until the Max reports are good before getting one.

Re: New BMW ... New Stealth V1 Install

You made the correct decision by moving back to the windshield. Although the enclosure looks great, I feel the design does reduce radar reception. Although the position of it would probably improve...
  8. Re: "Warning after jamming" setting in seconds?

Forget about that old Blinder system. There are too many new LIDARs out that it can't jam.

Re: Can IR lights beat speed cameras?

Your best bet is getting Waze to alert you before you enter an area with speed cameras. There is a device called No-Photo, but it hasn't been independently tested.

    Re: STI Driver thoughts

What do you mean by this?[/QUOTE]

What do i mean by Ka band Segmentation ? Well it's basically a feature on the Escort redline that allows you to refine the range of scanning on Ka band. So...
  12. Re: trying out new detectors, 9500ci range & passport max

I am not a fan of GPS lock outs. There are many reports on here and escort radars's forum of users getting tickets in GPS lock out zones. I have RDs that have GPS lockout capabilities, but do not...
  13. Re: trying out new detectors, 9500ci range & passport max

It is more than just range that the STiR+ beats out the 9500ci. The STiR is much more reactive. Where the 9500ci may miss a short signal, the STiR will pick it up. If you don't have $1000 on a...

    Re: New Redline owner!

If you are running this as your only radar detector, turn RDR off, segments 2-9 on. If you encounter K band traffic sensors, or come across many cars with K band blind spot assist, turn on TSR. I...
  16. Re: Trying to choose between Escort and Beltronics !!

First, we need a little history lesson about the RX65 and USA mode. Although many think of the Beltronics rx65 as one radar detector model, there were actually two of them. The earlier rx65 had the...

    Re: V-1 w/Veil

At most you will get 2 seconds from veil. Not enough time to save you.
  18. Re: trying out new detectors, 9500ci range & passport max

The Beltronics STiR+ is basically the 9500ci minus the laser shifters. There are some hardware differences, but the STiR+ will out perform the 9500ci when programmed correctly.

Re: V-1 Question with two different versions.

Sell your V1 on some auction site, and buy a new V1. Your out of pocket expense for the new V1 will be much lower.

    Re: V-1 w/Veil

Veil would help when using an LED jam,ER system such as the Escort ZR3 or ZR4, or the Blinder M series. Snake oil will work as well as Veil alone or Veil with a RD. Veil is not needed with a good...
  21. Re: How to extend LI sensor units wire/cable question?

The OP has 8.8 or earlier heads. They do not have the DIN connectors.
  22. Re: How to extend LI sensor units wire/cable question?

I would call Cliff at Laser Interceptor. He may have some rear sensors (same as the front, but with longer cables) that he may exchange with you. Cliff has always delivered excellent customer...

    Re: 2 laser different diode

Most laser diodes beam is more eliptical than circular. The jammer companies have generally oriented the diode such that the beam is wider than tall. The use of LED helps to give additional...

    Re: 2 laser different diode

There aren't two laser diodes. One is a laer diode, the other is a LED diode. The LED diode provides a more divergent transmit beam.
