In response to Turbo V6 last post you could always put the X50 on EXP mode like I do and after awhile you get to know the actual signal that is being transmitted and know if its a false or a real...

or they could do it like a Sim card chip that you use for your cell this way you could just buy the chip and not the have to buy a completely new detector or be without one for sometime..or do...

mines falses by the airport everytime least twice while passing on the thruway...
