I've never had good results with side by side comparisons. Perhaps the leakproof detectors can do this.
A few years ago, I ran a friend's $20 whistler against my x50, and the x50 was pretty much...
not sure about the redline, but I know back in the day, my x50 would always show two ka's for nysp. I remember reading it wasn't because of front and rear radar, but because of the specific radar gun...
i glued the suction cups on
Hi this is my car. I've done testing and this provides me the best detection. The car has an athermic windshield, with the exception of the absolute top center portion. So I have the detector mounted...
WHAT???? you're cruel. how the hell??
can indeed be risky. and takes a toll on your ebrake system depending on the type of car. and a good way to send the tail down to the ground and the front up.
downshift if possible. hell, i've...
I've got the 940 and it's one hell of a detector. Like mentioned, it's basically the same detector as the higher end ones (955, 965, 995, rx65 although rx65 has a different casing, etc), with only...
I know the conversation has since moved on, but a few pages ago, we were discussing officers speeding and causing accidents. Here at my school one night last summer, I was at a coffee shop when two...
fritter? tritter? michael tritter? :D
I never had ka falses with my s7 x50. only pop from certain whistlers/cobras if I had that on.
Not sure about my m4 940 now though. It didn't false ka the first few months I've used it. But...
hmm what is voltage pilot? how does this setting affect performance?[/quote]shows you voltage
I'm hoping it was a used detector or you bought it from an unauthorized source. Because otherwise, you would have still had warranty through bel. But if you opened it, you'd have had to peel off the...
reset the settings. when you do that, it'll show the version briefly.
you missed an option in the poll. "just plain luck"
maybe the police saw the escalade and figured if he pulled you over, you'd pull out a gun and shoot him, and just figured it'd be safer to let...
might want to remove your location ;) might not be such a good friend soon
If they're using constant on, then it sounds like a fairly easy job for any competent radar detector. It's instant on / laser that's what's dangerous.
On the cheaper side, you may want to look at...
expert mode, city lox, voltage pilot, loud
I loved the tones on the x50. Would take that over the bel's anyday
I wonder what the deal is. When I had my x50 s7, I never got ka from cobras. If I had pop on though, I'd get popped again and again by cobras and whistlers though.
really if you're going for the rx65, why not just get the x50. expert mode is great.
The tiers should be setup such that it goes 940, x50, v1 / sti if needed
940 is your best bet. same detection as 955, 965, 995, rx65, x50. see gol test
I had one of those for a roadtrip. Was originally planning on returning it after the trip. But midway through, I swapped it for the x50. Ended up keeping that one. And here we are today ;)
i got a 91 vw fox
little jealous, are we?
city lox or highway depending on your situation
