I suppose its the same as the 3.825 (or 3.813) people at V1 lol.
i have recently thought about trying an STi ... it seems to produce some good numbers. Right now its X50 for me.
also considered the last good one ... soo why are the switching over to something that clearly isn't as good?
its the cig adapter. He is using my V1 and many of times it does this when i hit a bump.
The plug in is poorly designed and comes very loose easily.
So if were to get a New X50 would i get a M4 or S7 horn?
Ok well basically an X50 i just tested yield (on the Ka i got tested (i think it was ~33.8 if i remember) got worst results on the X50. However not by much.
The voltage read 14.6 on the X50 so...
Well i got an X50 in a trade with Justinkk2005 in the mail today and took it out for some testing. Its a quiet little thing. But noisy ... not in radar alerts but of this thing bouncing on my wind...
Same here. My RX65 performs better on Ka.[/quote]
You must have bad V1's then or else they are out of tune.
By the way, if you are basing this on USA mode then you aren't running in a wise...
i'm looking forward to comparing the X50 to the V1. I have been wanting to try something else for a while now.
Go to Valentine Research and look up the serial number on the back of your V1.
it will tell you what version you have.

Meh, It is a good radar detector and europe doesn't make anything better soo.
this is not the correct forum to be asking that. Go to www.nasioc.com and do a search "V1 install hardwire"
don't just post it, you will get flamed.
Mike Valentine called me ... lovely.
He told me the unit when it sent it in they didn't find anything wrong with it as far as calibration goes but to be safe side they replaced all the internals....
Called VR, the referred me to a busy tech who couldn't answer the phone ... hopefully will get a call back shortly.
justinkk2005 ... maybe ... that might not be a bad idea.
The thing is, V1 has already had it once, and its back to where it was before i sent it in.
I have numerous Ka speed signs that i can test it against and they have gone WAY down in range.
When i first got it, the range was amazing. But it has really fallen off.
Ka range as of late left me a bit disappointed. It was good for about 2 weeks when i got it back but now it seems like it back to the way it was before i sent it in. I'm not sure what do to. I'm...

my suggestion: if you feel it's not up to par sell it on eBay for $385 to $400 and just buy a new one, and start fresh. what we think is not up to par is someone else's best detector ever. we are...
Ka band was out of tune. It still isn't as good as it was new but it is a lot better than what it was.
Well i got my V1 back today and you can imagine the first thing i did was check the firmware ... oddly enough still 3.858. I was expecting 3.863 but oh well. I turned off X and PoP and headed home. ...
Or you could just turn laser off :?
NICE :D
I have driven though Mo. many times before. Just drive though there you can see all the timing lines for aircraft. Its crazy.
