My suction cups fail all the time too. You would think with the weight of the sti bel would provide a better suction cup than the crappy ones supplied that are the same as all the other rd's.

No it was the plastic lens covering the gauges on my car that cracked. The STI is fine and still works great. No self-cal messages yet...
x2, I think the car was damaged by the STi
At any rate, just watch out for any service required or self-cal messages in the near future. Normally an odd self-cal once a year or two...
I was taking my STI down as my gf was driving and she hammered a corner while it was in my hand. It flew out of my hand and hit the dash cracking the plastic covering the gauges then it smoked the...
Ok I know that the threat display will alert me to two different bands similtaniously butwill it alert me to 2 different freq. of the same band? If i'm passing a false and there is a leo threat in...
So trying to distinguish a leo from a door opener with the tec display on my STI will probably not work.
Just wondering if anyone knew or knew of a website that lists the percise police K band frequencies?
I love the tec display on the sti and i drove around the malls writing down the false alert frequencies. So far I noticed door openers operate between 24.155 Mhz and 24.195Mhz (K band). I haven't...
So would you feel like sharing this strategic way of mounting your rd with the rest of us canuks?
So I have a newer chevy truck with the normal tint on the top of my windshield (not the metallic tint). I live in ontario so i mount my rd as high up as i can (it touches the roof carpet) so it can't...
MEM-TEK said "Steady voltage is important for Belscort RDs while they perform their internal self calibration process which precisely adjusts the voltage for the circuitry which controls the RD's...

Yes, also don't forget to always turn it off BEFORE you turn off the engine
Do you REALLY need a freaking external switch when you can super easily do it by hand, on and off... use...
Ok so wait untill engine is started. But is it ok to have an external power switch to turn it on and off or should I use the power button on the STI?
So I was bored last night and was playing with my Cobra 9680 and my STI, having both of them on and touching the LNA's together watching the STI go nuts picking up the leaky Cobra (The Cobra actually...
I have my STI hardwired to a toggle switch that is then controlled by my ignition (when I turn the key off my sti turns off). Now when I get in my vehicle and turn the key to the run position the Sti...
I was just wondering if the cops up here in northern ontario (or any part of ontario) use "POP" radar guns? I want to turn the pop off on my STI or should I leave it on? Is there a difference in...
Well i'll be damned. I stand corrected
I don't think the leo's will be able to distinguish this particular organizer from all of the other visor organizer's out there (they are selling these on ebay with the sti's) and they would probably...
I live in ontario and was looking in to buying one of those visor organizers that the sti slides into so you can't see it.

I have a Cobra XRS 9685 and was wondering if my spectre I alert will still alert me if I am under surveillance of a spectre III and if so what distance would i get an alert from?
