To be honest with you, regular halogen bulbs have better light output than HID look alike bulbs. That's because those fake HID bulbs are coated with blue, where regular halogen bulbs are clear....

What the guys said above is true, if you're getting harassed with ricer bulbs, you would definitely get harassed with HIDs. HIDs in non-OEM equipped cars are also illegal, but PIAA Xtreme White bulbs...
