I've been running my old bels ragged, and thankfully they've been tanks. but I need some TFS filtering nowadays and can't seem to find a single one outside of V1 with visor mount abilities. why did...
Wasn't able to PM you Sir, I just saw that you replied. FB'ed you. Thank you for your help.
I replaced the speaker, after paying $10 roughly 2 years ago via calling and ordering one, it didn't last even as long as the original. If someone from Whistler could contact me, I would appreciate...
Call whistler at 800-531-0004.
Thanks myblkrat, called but by the time I called they were closed. Will attempt to get in touch with them tomorrow.
I replaced my dads XTR-330's speaker in Jan of 2013, purchased through Whistler. It has now went, and I need another. Is there any way someone could help me out with this issue?
Speaker is DS...
Im amazed ole maxima hasn't chimed in....he had a 945 for a looong time and upgraded to an RX65....wasn't that impressed. The 945 does have one feature many don't know about that only came on the...
These things were built like tanks...of course with the 945 it didn't come with a case, but my s10 is garage kept. The 985 stays in my beltronics leather case for it unless im driving. Take care of a...
I wish they had kept that feature! I find the automute completely useless on every Escort/Bel model I have had...........it drops the volume down WAY too much.
That "clicking" type mute...
I suppose ill stick with what I have. They're both in mint condition, I love the oldschool clicking automute and their range beats anything under $250 on the market considering some tests I've done...
Also note that any upgrade would require new hardwiring etc. These are oldschool beltronics (see avatar and sig) so...that has to be considered as well. I've had 1.25mi hits on ka with the 985 and...
See sig for current RDs. Both work great, but Im considering an upgrade, mostly in my mustang. Considering the 985 has tech mode, and all the bells and whistles, more saves than I can count....and...
EscortRadar, thank you for your prompt and very helpful reply. Seems to be a cold solder on the pcb, but everything else is still working as normal so I'm not even going to attempt trace it down...
No dice...Can someone tell me how to pop the front off of these old style cases before I take a shotgun to an otherwise perfectly good 985?
I have no clue how I missed that.....gah. Thanks. It's on page 10 for the reset by the way. If it doesn't work...I'll be asking how to crack this old case open. I've never opened any of my old style...
Does anyone remember how to do this? My V985's volt meter is way, way off. I'm hoping a hard reset will fix it, unless the volt meter is adjusted via an adjustable pot. If it is, would anyone happen...
My black case V945 has the old automute, and is still hardwired into my 99 Mustang GT. Does anyone remember the old black cased Bel Vector STI? Yes, a STI existed before the STI Driver. ;)
I love my 945. Black casing. Outperforms my friends newer 995.
The 940 is technically "newer". But I wouldn't pay $40 for POP detection since it's hit and miss on even the top detectors, not to mention it isn't used often. Love my 945. It's a well made detector...
Quick reply to my fleeting Cobra experience. Adjusting the POT in my old ESD did enhance its sensitivity. But it was still a POS. One day it'd pick up miles away, the next it'd pick up half a second...
Just for the record, my V945 is much more sensitive to X falses when it's below 32f. Other bands are unaffected.
Confirmed that it's in use by a Tallapoosa, GA unit. Mostly on I-20 just a few miles inside the GA/AL line.
They just calibrated and used their first Lidar gun last night. Not sure of make or model. Anyone who lives in the area is used to constant-on K or sometimes IO K, but watch out for this one. I'm...
Haha...I want to know how you ended up finding anywhere in dville to actually hit 104 with all of the traffic there...
Indeed. I was at a red light 2 days ago and started getting a K alert. I was right beside a Shell station where most of the county sheriffs get fuel, so I figured one of them left their radar on....
Good wire snips will do the job. But yeah, a dremel will work the best.
