Don't let that V6 fool you, they are rated at 304 Horsepower.
That's more than many V8 engines out there.
Roy does not allow sales of units on the site.
You will have to put it out on Ebay or Craig's list.
Why don't we blast his email address: DelLSpruill@house.state.va.us with emails asking him doesn't he have better things to do than worry about this?
You people in Virginia need to get off your...
Another great write up by Veil Guy!!
That is why a few of us have always had a Whistler in the collection somewhere.
Good unit for the money.
Wow that was a long time coming but it is finally here.
Congratulations Roy!
I sure hope some people in Illinois get together and have this law overturned.
Yes I have experienced this as well.
On my Whistler with the SWS on it will display emergency vehicle and not alert to any band.
Any other detector I use will display either a K band or KA band....
Words of wisdom!!
I agree with everyone else on this, the 1.7 is still a good unit and I still use mine today even though I also have the 1.8.
As always another great read by Veil Guy.
Are you close to an airport by chance?
I drive by one everyday and if I am using one of my Bels or Escorts it will trigger laser alert.
Just thought I would throw this in to see if it helps any.
No markings what so ever.. makes for a nice sleeper. :D
Hello everyone,
I have not posted much lately been working on some new things and one of them is my new toy.
I bought a 2006 Mustang with the V6 and decided I would add this for fun!!
This...
The laws that these state have do they specifically state laser or do they use the term "radar"?
Since they are different I would think they would have to specify laser in the law.
Seems like if...
Some of the last few models that Whistler has put out tends to be on the gimmicky side.
I can do without the "periscope thing"
How about a few less gimmicks and better filtering?
Yes
Yes you can turn of the KU detection on the XTR.
Tests are great for raw data but when you have actually owned both and used them in real world situations sometimes the tests do not give you all the...
Save a little more cash and go for the PRO series.
You will be glad that you did.
Owning both I like the XTR-560 better.
Where I live it does not false as much as my PRO 58 does.
The one thing I do not like about the XTR-560 is the size of it.
It is a big detector.
I would bet it was instant on.
As far as POP I would not worry to much about it.
The problem with the 795 has been quality issues, I for one have had excellent luck with mine and it detects quite well for the money.
Others here have reported that it did lousy for them and it...
I have owned both PRO's 58 and 73 and I own the XTR 560 and the XTR IMO is a better unit then the PRO's.
It falses a LOT less than the PRO's and detection has been a little better on K and X bands...
The XTR 560 compared to my PRO 58 had better filtering.
Even though I would still get some falsing with the XTR it was much better at filtering than my PRO.
As for range as detection it seemed a...
