They replaced the antenna, case and front lense also.

Got it back today. They replaced the case and antenna, re calibrated and tested the unit. Also got a new cord and windshield mount. We'll see how she works!

All I know is that my R65 has amazing Ka and X sensativity. Two mile warnings are nomal. Pretty good in K also. It's also a very quite detector. I do mostly city driving with the unit in autoscan.

In Ohio I beleive that the OSP always have to have lights on. Locals only if on a public road. Sittin in a private driveway for instance, no lights are required.

Thanks for the link. He called it a Python but the antenna was marked 55. Maybe it was actually a 55 unit. I'll take a better look next time.

Saw the MPH 55 Industries unit on the dash while talking to a local LEO. Asked him what model it was and he called a Python. Is that correct? I believe the only band I get hit with here in town is K.

I parked next to a X band source today (local drive through) and had 4 bars lit but no tone in regular city mode. When I changed to Highway or Auto I got the tone. I'll drive back down there later...

I believe I'm seeing the same thing with my RX65. I get the bar graph but no tone on X band in city mode. I just got it the other day so I need to do some more driving with it.

Wow. I just got my new RX65 from Roy this week to replace my aging 8500. Have not had it long enough to tell if its any better than the 8500 but I plan on doing some driving this weekend to work out...
