Unit is being tested. Should know more on mondat.
The only way to determine if a radar detector will work better if rotated on its side is to test it against the radar source. The polarization difference at K band for most radar detectors that I...
In the lab, I know what is being used for an antenna as I have several to choose from. If you run tests on a road at distance, be sure to make note of radar unit, antenna type, and polarization.
In answer to the above question, when I rotate a unit on its axis between horizontal and vertical polarization against a radar unit with no dominate polarization, I have no differences in the lab.
...
Reading this I think it's pretty clear that you support VG's theory then, that whether one chooses to mount their receiver vertically or horizontally makes little to no difference in detection range...
Thanks Mike!
So the 2db loss is with just a reflector?
In the testing done a RD would go from alerting to not at all when rotated vertically, i guess this could vary from RD to RD as well as...
Sorry for jumping in late to this thread as I was having login issues with the site.
In response to the original question, there is a small loss associated with using the reflector and lab tests...
LOL, exactly CJR. A and B but Not C. LOL.. You got it sir! Totally.
Veil guy gonna shoot you a message. I do work tomorrow I believe shutting down the shack. No fun man good stores waving...
PM not working. Please call 800-531-0004
When someone says prove it, it is a challenging remark. I have no idea of the rules regarding sharing of images, spec sheets or anything else when working for Nasa however this company has rules...
The HSXWH01 was a gunn oscillator design and was done in 2002. We made a change in 2007 and chose to resubmit for testing. This led to a new FCC ID number. Please try not to read too much into...
The Axis received a new housing and is included with the CR series as the CR90 and should be available in July 2013. Not sure when this will post to the website but it should be very soon.
The XTR-435 is a VCO design and utilizes HSXWH10. The XTR-435 manual lists both the WH10 and the WH21 as both of these were carried over from the XTR-430 manual when updating it to the XTR-435 and...
It seems the recent manual FCCID # is in error and does not match the FCC ID # on the product itself. I will look into this after the holiday weekend and straighten it out. Sorry if there was any...

Sorry, have not been on the site much. I am sorry if you cannot accept my word on this. Company policy prevents me from posing pictures of the internals. I know it sounds like no big deal as...
Whistler has not used Gun diode oscillators on over 3 years.
Check your PM, sorry for the delay as I was on travel all of last week and have been playing catch up.
Sent you a PM
Those were all tested to meet the same minimum specificacations for both Laser and Radar.
There are radar based systems and there are laser based systems.
The t feature may help with the radar based systems but suntzuaow is also experiencing a laser assisted cruise control system...
It does not let all radar in. What it reduces going out, it reduces coming in.
If they use a k band waveguide, it will reduce emissions below k band and reduce x band reception equally.
The rev on the main pub does not determine the unit rev.
To address some of your questions
1. Short Range Ka band alerts
The unit may be in need of repair
2. MAX Ka Band burst false alarms
3. No laser detection except in very very rare instances...
Friends and Forum members, thank you for the kind words.
There are products to be released this year but I cannot go into specifics at this time, please understand.
There will be a press...
