it is a very good warning you got the very first time if he is running rear.
ka performance looks great, k band is off by few sec's no surprise as we all know whistler is lil weak on k anyway.
there are a lot of whistler user videos which show se doing very well.
its up to you to buy or not buy ...
u happily do tests with ka guard off which causes false alerts but have a problem with filter.. which as per you causes false alerts and it looks like both the features are doing the same thing.

it is not whistler's fault. it does the same thing on my v1 too with x off. i believe some stores have both x and k and with x off they start reporting k .
i tried that combo and needless to say they both interfere with each other.
